How It Works

DayTrip connects drivers heading somewhere great with passengers who want to come along.

For Passengers

Step 1

Browse Rides

Explore open rides on the home page. See the destination, departure date and time, cost per seat, and meetup location before you commit.

Step 2

Book a Seat

Click "Book Now!" on a ride that looks good, choose how many seats you need, and submit your request. No account? You can create one right in the booking flow.

Step 3

Show Up & Enjoy

Once the driver accepts your request, you'll be confirmed. Head to the meetup spot at the listed time and enjoy the ride. Leave a review when you're back.

For Drivers

Step 1

Become a Driver

Sign up for an account, then click "Become a Driver" in the nav. Add your car details, a photo of your vehicle, and a bit about yourself.

Step 2

Post a Ride

Heading somewhere? Post a ride with your departure date, time, pickup location, destination, cost per seat, and available seats. It's that simple.

Step 3

Accept Passengers

Review incoming booking requests and accept the passengers you want to bring along. Manage everything from your "My Rides" dashboard.

Common Questions

Is DayTrip free to use?
DayTrip itself is free. Drivers set their own per-seat price to cover fuel and expenses. You only pay what the driver asks for the seat.
What destinations are available?
Drivers choose from a curated list of destinations when posting a ride — think mountains, lakes, trails, and other day-trip-worthy spots in Colorado.
What if my booking request is rejected?
No worries — the seats are released back to the ride and you can book a different one. You're never charged for a rejected request.
How do I know the driver is trustworthy?
Every driver has a profile with their car details, a photo, and a star rating based on reviews from past passengers. You can see all of this before booking.
